Ispy Glambag October 2014

I got my October Glambag yesterday. This months theme was Beauty Candy.

I LOVE the the bag this month. It is so cute, the only thing that could make it better is if it were pink or purple, but I will live with the pretty teal color.

Enclosed in this months bag was:

1.  Skyn Iceland Glacial Cleansing Cloths. I like cleansing cloths but mostly use baby wipes (if it's gentle enough for baby, it's gentle enough for me LOL).

2.  Doll 10 Highlighter in Champagne. I have never used highlighter but am willing to try.

3.  City Color Be Matte Lipstick in Cappuccino. I love lipsticks and lipgloss but I think I am getting to the point that I have received enough for awhile from Ipsy. I will have to look into how to stop them.

4.  Model Co Volumeyes mascara. I like mascara but I need length not volume, I will use it anyway.

5.  Figs and Rouge Hand Cream in Mango Mandarin. I like hand cream and was hoping for the other scent (rose berry). I don't like the smell of Mango, it smells like cat pee. Sorry if I ruined mango for you, it's a public service really, you don't want to smell like cat pee. Having said all that, this really doesn't smell like cat pee, I tried it and there is not lingering cat smell. It has potential. This was a full sized product.

Overall, this is a good bag, but not wonderful. I got my moneys worth but still not super excited about it.

Ipsy Glam Bag September 2014

Since this is the week of Glam bags I might as well do my September one as well.
I was excited for this months bag because of the Pacifica eyeliner, I wanted black but got brown. The brown is working for me though, especially being waterproof.

This months bag was a dark silver with some studs on it. I must admit, it's not my favorite, it's actually my least favorite yet. I liked what was inside though.

1.  Briogeo deep conditioning hair mask.  Sample size. Much needed!!

2.  Crown Infinity shadow/crease duet brush. Full sized brush. I have already used this and love it! Retails for $6.99

3.  Cailyn art touch lip gloss in Basic Instinct. Full sized tube. Tried it, love it! Retails for $19!!

4.  Pacifica Natural Minerals waterproof brown eyeliner. Sample size. Like it so far.

5.  Nyx eyeshadow in asphyxiation. This is bright blue, not sure where in my quizzes I said that I wanted to try blue eye products but this is the second one that I have received (blue eyeliner here). I would say it is full sized. Retails for $4.50. Not sure when I would use this.....maybe for Halloween.

Overall, my bag was definitely worth the $10 this month with 2 full sized products that retail for $25.99 together. I got some full sized products and I will use most of the products.

Now to try and figure out what to do with my growing collection of makeup bags....

Ipsy Glam Bag August 2014

I am finally getting around to review my August 2014 Ipsy Glam Bag. I have been sick and exhausted since school started. I am feeling better now and feel as if I can get so much more done. I was going to make this week a subscription box week, with my 2 Glam Bags and the husbands Loot Crate, but husband opened his Loot Crate and the stuff immediately disappeared. So, it's just 2 Glam Bags.

My Glam bag for August was fabulous!!

Included was:
1.  Makeup bag. It is round in shape, like a pencil bag. Colors are white with orange polka dots.

2.  Jersey Shore Mongongo lip conditioner. I have had time to use this and I love it!! I use it at night and my lips are super soft in the morning. Full sized. Retails for $5.50, I will be buying more of this!

3.  Dr. Brandt pore refiner. I haven't had a chance to use this yet. I hope it works, I need it. Sample sized.

4.  J Cat Flying Solo eyeshadow, color: half naked. I use this now daily and love it. It is a great neutral shade and goes on evenly. Sample sized.

5.  Klorane dry shampoo. I have very oily skin, which makes my bangs look awful by mid-day. I tried this on my bangs a couple times (when I remembered I had it) and it really helped. I'm excited to have something to help my problem. Sample sized.

6. Urban Decay Perversion mascara.  I wish this were a full sized tube because it makes my lashes look fabulous. This is definitely a product I purchase. Sample sized.

This months bag had 2 full sized products, the lip conditioner and the eyeshadow.

All in all, I think this bag was worth my $10, tomorrow I will show you Septembers bag.

Ipsy Glam Bag July 2014

My Ipsy Glam Bag came today!! I love getting that shiny, pink envelope in the mail!!

Here's what I got:

As for the breakdown, let's start with the pretty, pink bag. It is made of vinyl, I think, and it smells like it. I am hoping to ignore the smell and use it in my purse. Where does Ipsy get all these cute bags?

I got a small bottle of Hang 10 tanning oil. I like the Hang 10 sunblock I got from Ipsy so hopefully this will be just as good. This will work when I am going some place without children and don't need my huge beach bag. I can carry a small bag with a small sunblock and this small tanning oil.

I also got a Mini Tinted Brilliance Balm from Pixi, color Pretty in Pink. This color looks great with my skin tone and feels good, too.

I got a super tiny bareMinearals BB cream eyeshadow in a weird brown color. I don't usually use cream eyeshadows because of my oily skin but I may have to try this just to see how good it is.

Also included was Sunkissed Bronzer by POP Beauty. I have never used a bronzer because I am  pale skinned but I will try it at least once.

Lastly, was a bottle of beach spray by Sexy Hair. I have always wanted to try a texturizing spray, glad I got a small one to try.

I am happy with the Glam Bag that I received this time. I hope they keep up the excellence!!

Ipsy June 2014

Man, was I excited to get home from school today and find my Ipsy package in the mail. Last month I didn't receive it until almost the 20th, so this is early. Here is a look at what I got:

Up first is a Rebecca Minkoff bag, it's super cute. It's so cute I'm tempted to use is as a jewelry bag for vacations.

I also got a 0.5oz size Carlos Daughter anti-frizz styling cream.

Then I got a full sized Ofra eyebrow liner. This retails for $13 so it pays for the Ipsy bag all by itself. I use brown eyebrow liner so hopefully this stuff works just as good.

Nyx butter gloss in Eclair. This is a very pretty soft pink color, perfect for summer.

I also got Nicka K shimmer eyeliner in blue. I'm not sure that I will ever use this but you never know.

Last is a sample sized perfume by Realtree. It smells light so it will be perfect for summer also.

I am satisfied with my bag this month. I will use most of it. If you want to know how I got off of the Ipsy wait list go here

How I got off of the Ipsy Waitlist

First let me mention that I'm sorry that I have been gone so long. I took a much needed blog break.

Now for the good stuff. I FINALLY got off of the Ipsy wait list. It has been since February and I was dying to get an Ipsy bag.  When I originally signed up I was wait listed, as I am sure everyone is. I searched the internet to find out how long people were on the list and some were on there a long time. So, I took matters in my own hands and followed Ipsy's directions for getting off of the wait list.

At first I didn't want to because you had to share some stuff on Facebook and I don't think it's anyone's damn business what I do or what I buy so I didn't do it. BUT I sucked it up and did it, now I'm glad I did.

In your Ipsy account there is a section that is called subscription details. Under this there is it says "Skip the Wait," click that!

One of the things that it had me do, which was easy for me was to follow some You Tube boards. I hardly go on You Tube so having videos for me to watch was no big deal. They do send me an email whenever someone posts a video but I just delete the email.

Now for the one I didn't want to do, post some Facebook crap. It wanted me to link my Facebook and then post for me every month when I got my new bag. My way around this was on the bottom of the Facebook pop up there are some "buttons." One of those buttons looks like 2 people, and it says "friends" or "Your Friends." If you click this button you can choose "only me" and this doesn't post on Facebook for anyone to see, just for me to see like it says.

After I did that I was off the wait list. I completed these steps in mid-April and I got my first bag this week.

This months theme was natural items, including the pretty green and white makeup bag. I got a big sample size Hang Ten sunblock, which will be perfect to carry in my purse this summer. I also got small sample sizes of a Hey Honey take it off mask and Pur-lisse facial moisturizer. I will try the mask soon but the moisturizer I will save for vacation. Next was Balanced Guru No Frizz hair oil, which by itself is $13 and pays for the $10 Ipsy subscription. Lastly was a purple and white eyeshadow duo by Pacifica. (I think I will have to watch one of those You Tube videos to make this eyeshadow look good on me!!)

Sorry if the color is messed up, I edited this pic while sitting outside in the sun :)
I had searched for different beauty boxes and decided that Ipsy would be the best for me and I am not disappointed. At $10 it seems like a bargain. I probably wouldn't have went out and bought this stuff but I am sure I will use it and maybe buy some of it if I like it.

What boxes do you subscribe to? Does anyone get BarkBox?
