Holidays and Concerts

The following post was written for Monday morning, however, PicMonkey was being dumb and kept crashing so I couldn't edit any photos. So after dealing with the problem for 5 days I decided to find a new, free online photo editor, and the winner was: befunky. So far, so good!!

Well, I had a great weekend. Hope you did too. I'm not the type of person that does big plans for the 4th of July, not sure why, I just don't.  I did do a little bit though.

Our town has a parade on the 4th, which Eve and I went to. After that was swimming and then a cookout with friends.

Joe got his new camera out and decided to take some fun pics with it. I love how the sparkler ones turned out.

Eve was trying to make a star!

This one was from my phone, turned out good though.

Then Saturday I got to go to the Motley Crue and Alice Cooper concert with Xander, my friend, and her husband. I was super excited. I have seen Motley Crue a few times but this was their final tour. We had a great time.

And then this happened:

Tall people should be banned from sitting/standing in general seating!

But to make up for it this happened:

Yep, that's the band on a different stage playing "Home Sweet Home." Funny story, we go to concerts at Klipsch Music Center in Noblesville and ALWAYS sit in section F (see below). This year my friends didn't want to pay the $150 per ticket for that section so we sat in the lawn section. The lawn is cheap ($35) and is open seating. We had good spots on the lawn but still we dreamed of our old section, especially since they have seats and we are old with aching feet and backs. Well, the funny part is that the encore song was "Home Sweet Home" and it was played on a different stage IN SECTION F!! If you look at that gray box in the pic, that was the alternate stage. We usually sit within 5 rows of that gray box, but not this year!! As soon as they walked onto that stage, my friend turned to her husband and I and said "we were supposed to sit there. No matter what it costs, we are sitting there next time!!"  Nothing like a missed opportunity.

There is always a downside, Vince Neil couldn't seem to remember the lyrics. It's pretty sad that the crowd can sing all of your songs but you can't. Maybe it's a good thing they are not going to tour together anymore.

How was your holiday weekend?
